This exam exists since 1993 and is organized by an association of prestigious French universities and "grandes écoles" (ENSAM, Dauphine, ESCP-EAP, IEP, Sorbonne,...). The idea was to create a non-standardized test which really proves the communication skills of the candidates. The EAB is backed up by the International Chamber of Commerce, they call it "Certificate of language proficiency in executive management". Moreover there is a sponsorship committee of about 40 major companies. The graduation ceremony takes place at the French Senate.
